A Conversation with My Ovaries is a literary nonfiction essay that begins with my own body and an egg-freezing journey from China to Spain. Moving between memoir and cultural criticism, it traces the inequalities of transnational reproductive systems and explores the complicated promise of reproductive technology: whether it gives women genuine freedom over their bodies and time, or simply creates new forms of choice, cost, and control.
